This was a very hopeful day to be in Asmara because Eritrea had finally received their independence from Ethiopia after a long civil war. Most Eritreans were celebrating and dancing in the streets. As we toured the city at the end
of the day a group of children were dancing their way home after a soccer game. A new moon was rising in the sky and it looked like the boys were dancing on the edge of the earth. Asmara, Eritrea 1993
